Conduct of LNNAIS Earth Month 2025 Celebration

TESDA-Lanao Norte National Agro-Industrial School joined the celebration of Earth Month 2025 throughout April at its main campus. The institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability was demonstrated through a series of meaningful activities under the theme, “Skilled for Work, Responsible for M.E.”
A total of 115 Diploma students (47 females, 68 males) and 41 school personnel actively participated, showcasing LNNAIS’ dual focus on fostering skills development and promoting environmental stewardship.

Key Activities

1. Eco-Pledge Wall (April 7-24, 2025)

Participants, including students and personnel, shared heartfelt messages and pledges for environmental responsibility. Five standout Eco-Pledge statements were selected as winners by Ms. Queeny Twinkle N. Enyong, APII/Designate VIS, recognizing their creativity and dedication.

2. Clean-up Drive (April 21, 2025)

LNNAIS personnel and Diploma students collaborated in cleaning the Farm-to-Market Road, spanning the LNNAIS Campus Gate to Barangay Bualan Office. Led by Mr. Arnold G. Maghanoy, Green TVET Focal, in partnership with Barangay Bualan officials, the drive exemplified teamwork and community engagement.

3. Documentary Film Showing (April 21, 2025)

Participants viewed “The Wandering Earth,” a thought-provoking documentary highlighting environmental challenges and solutions, inspiring actionable steps toward sustainability.

4. Art Contest (April 21–24, 2025)

Students expressed their perspectives on environmental stewardship through traditional and digital artworks. The judging panel—Ms. Fatima Rose M. Bihag, Ms. Charizmhil B. Lumayag, and Ms. Jasmine Galenzoga — evaluated the entries. Winners included:
  • Traditional Artworks: Top 3 students
  • Digital Artworks: Top 2 students

5. Culmination Program and Eco-Skills Workshop (April 24, 2025)

  • Opening Remarks: Mr. Maynard C. Jumawan, LNNAIS VSA II, emphasized the importance of daily environmental awareness and encouraged participation in the Eco-Skills Workshop.
  • Kokedama Demonstration: Ms. Ivy Rose B. Artuyo, Agriculture Technical Expert, demonstrated the creation of Kokedamas, with selected students performing a return demonstration for the ornamental project
  • Dish Garden Demonstration: Mr. Arnold G. Maghanoy shared techniques for crafting Dish Gardens, followed by student demonstrations of their ornamental creations.
