AGRICULTURAL CROPS PRODUCTION NC I

  • The Agricultural Crops Production NC I consists of competencies that a person must achieve in the production of crops such as rice, vegetables, fruits and nuts as well as many others. Workers operating at this level and using these competencies would be working without previous experience in this industry sector. They would be undertaking a small range of skills and they would be under constant supervision or working alongside a more competent worker with some supervisory skills. They would be undertaking basic crop husbandry and work orientation skills.

  • The AGRICULTURAL CROPS PRODUCTION NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to produce various agricultural crops which include performing nursery operations, planting, caring and maintaining of crops and carrying-out harvest and postharvest operations.

AGRICULTURAL CROPS PRODUCTION NC III

  • The Agricultural Crops Production NC III consists of competencies that a person must achieve in managing small farm. Specifically it involves competencies in making decision and carrying out competencies in relation to establishment, maintenance and harvesting of agronomic crops such as coarse grains, grain legumes, coffee, coconuts, cotton, soya beans, peanuts and sugar cane. Workers at this level would be working autonomously and likely to own a small enterprise or work within a cooperative structure.

ANIMAL PRODUCTION (POULTRY-CHICKEN) NC II

  • The ANIMAL PRODUCTION (POULTRY-CHICKEN) NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to maintain poultry housing, brood and grow chicks, perform pre-lay and lay activities and trim beak. These functions are required for individual who will work in poultry (broiler and layers).

ANIMAL PRODUCTION (RUMINANTS) NC II

  • The ANIMAL PRODUCTION (RUMINANTS) NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to raise ruminants for production of milk, meat and breeder. It comprises of maintenance of housing, farm implements and surrounding area, providing forage, performing breeding of ruminants, raising of dairy animals and raising of meat-type animals. The ruminants include both the large (cattle and buffalo) and small (goat and sheep) ruminants.

ANIMAL PRODUCTION (SWINE) NC II

  • The ANIMAL PRODUCTION (SWINE) NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to handle breeders, handle farrowing sows and sucklings, raise weanlings, produce finishers, maintain healthy animal environment and apply biosecurity measures.

AUTOMOTIVE SERVICING NC I

  • The AUTOMOTIVE SERVICING NC I Qualification consist of competencies that a person must achieve to perform pre-delivery inspection and periodic maintenance of automotive parts and components.

AUTOMOTIVE SERVICING NC II

  • The AUTOMOTIVE SERVICING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to inspect, clean and repair mechanical or electrical parts, components, assemblies and sub-assemblies of light and heavy-duty automotive vehicle with diesel or gas engine in accordance with manufacturer’s specification. It also covers servicing of engine mechanical components such as cooling and lubricating system; performing power train and underchassis servicing and repair.

BREAD AND PASTRY PRODUCTION NC II

  • The BREAD AND PASTRY PRODUCTION NC II Qualification consists of competencies that person must achieve to be able to clean equipment , tools and utensils and prepare, portion and plate pastries, breads and other dessert items to guests in hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs, canteens, resorts and luxury lines/cruises and other related operations.

COOKERY NC II

  • The COOKERY NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to clean kitchen areas, prepare hot, cold meals and desserts for guests in various food and beverage service facilities

DRESSMAKING NC II

  • The DRESSMAKING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to draft and cut pattern; lay-out pattern on the material/fabric, sew material/fabric and apply finishing touches on the ladies casual apparel of the Garment sector. Casual Apparel consists of casual dress, blouse, skirt, trouser, shorts and culottes.

DRIVING NC II

  • The DRIVING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to operate light motor vehicles classified under LTO Restriction code 1 and 2; transport passengers and loads over specified routes to local or district location and collect fare duly authorized by the relevant government agency; comply with local traffic rules and regulations and perform minor vehicle repairs and other minor servicing

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE NC II

  • The Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to install and maintain electrical wiring, lighting and related equipment and systems where the voltage does not exceed 600 volts in residential houses/buildings.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE NC III

  • The Electrical Installation & Maintenance NC III qualification consists of a set of competencies that a candidate for this qualification must achieve in order to obtain a national certificate for this qualification as specified by TESDA requirements. This particular set of competencies excludes core technical competencies required for related highly specialized vocational skilled workers such as linemen, substation technicians, electrical motors/generators repair technicians, etc..

FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES NC II

  • The FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to provide food and beverage service to guests in various food and beverage service facilities.

FOOD PROCESSING NC II

  • The FOOD PROCESSING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must have in order to process foods by salting, curing and smoking; process food by fermentation and pickling; process food by sugar concentration; process food by drying and dehydration and process food by thermal application. Inclusive to each of the above competencies, is the task of packing the processed food and operating simple packing equipment such as sealer. The person must also have competencies in practicing Food Safety Act 2013, cGMP, HACCP, OSHS and 7S of Good Housekeeping, including following relevant environmental rules and regulations.
  • It also includes competencies of a person in the production line of manufacturing processed food who is responsible for routinary works such as inspection of simple defects of packing materials, seal integrity and correct product label. It also comprises the calibrating and operating of basic food processing tools and equipment such as salinometer, refractometer, food processor and weighing scale. This qualification does not include dairy products and baking/pastry making.

GRAINS PRODUCTION NC II

  • The GRAINS PRODUCTION NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a Rice/Corn farmer and Rice/Corn grower must achieve to conduct variety and seed selection, perform land preparation, carry-out crop establishment, manage crop and conduct harvest and post-harvest operations. It also includes performing manual land preparation

HOUSEKEEPING NC II

  • The HOUSEKEEPING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to prepare guest rooms, clean public areas and equipment, provide housekeeping services, provide valet services, handle intoxicated guest, and laundry linen and guest clothes to a range of accommodation services.

MASONRY NC I

  • The MASONRY NC I qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve that will enable him/her to prepare masonry materials, tools and equipment and perform basic masonry works

MOTORCYCLE/SMALL ENGINE SERVICING NC I

  • The MOTORCYCLE/SMALL ENGINE SERVICING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to install and service parts of motorcycle/small engine and to perform periodic maintenance. Servicing includes inspecting, diagnosing, cleaning and overhauling of mechanical and electrical parts, components, assemblies and sub-assemblies of the unit.

ORGANIC AGRICULTURE PRODUCTION NC II

  • The ORGANIC AGRICULTURE PRODUCTION NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to produce organic farm products such as chicken and vegetables including producing of organic supplements such as fertilizer, concoctions and extracts. It has two (2) elective competencies which are on raising organic hogs and raising organic small ruminants.

RICE MACHINERY OPERATION NC II

  • The RICE MACHINERY OPERATIONS NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve in the operation and basic routine maintenance of rice machinery for land preparation, crop establishment, crop care, harvesting and threshing, drying and milling.

SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING (SMAW) I

  • The Welding NC I (SMAW) Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to weld carbon steel plates components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, work order, welding procedure or oral instructions using SMAW welding equipment.

SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING (SMAW) NC II

  • The Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to weld carbon steel plate and pipe components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, work order, welding procedure or oral instructions using shielded metal arc welding equipment.

TRAINERS METHODOLOGY LEVEL I

  • The TRAINERS METHODOLOGY LEVEL I consists of competencies a TVET trainer performing functions of trainer and assessor must achieve. A TVET trainer is a person who enables a learner or a group of learners to develop competencies to performing a particular trade or technical work.

BEAUTY CARE (NAIL CARE) SERVICES II

  • The BEAUTY CARE (NAIL CARE) SERVICES NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to perform pre and post beauty care services, perform manicure and pedicure, perform hand spa and perform foot spa.

BOOKKEEPING NC III

  • The BOOKKEEPING NC III Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to journalize transactions, post transactions, prepare trial balance, prepare financial reports and review internal control system.

Contact Tracing Level II

Contact Tracing Level II developed by TESDA with the help of the Health Human Resources Development Bureau of the Department of Health and other health industry experts, is intended to capacitate and increase the workforce of the LGUs tasked to track down the close contacts of individuals who tested positive with COVID-19.

Farmers Fields School

Farmers’ Field School (FFS) under the Rice Extension Services Program (RESP) of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF). These are aimed at equipping farmers and farmworkers with knowledge and skills on the latest rice farming technologies. Rice farmers will be given scholarship slots for the Modified FFS on Modernized Production of High Quality Inbred Rice and Seed Certification, helping them increase their income and competitiveness.
