TESDA – Lanao Norte National Agro-Industrial School (LNNAIS) successfully hosted a Capacity-Building Program for TVET Trainers on Plumbing NC I and NC II from May 20 to 23 at the LNNAIS Main Campus in Brgy. Bualan, Tubod, Lanao del Norte. Sanctioned by the TESDA Provincial Office of Lanao del Norte, this initiative aimed to expand the pool of qualified trainers to meet the growing demand for skilled plumbing professionals within the province and beyond. Additionally, the program sought to support TVET operating units in the successful registration of Plumbing programs while enhancing new trainers’ capabilities to meet national competency standards and effectively address industry needs.
Mr. Genesis B. Fuentes of Salvador Trade School served as the Resource Person for the training. During the program, eight of eleven trainer-participants engaged in hands-on activities, including the identification of tools and fixtures, pipe cutting and threading, toilet layout preparation, piping joints and connections, water line installation, and multiple plumbing unit assembly. All active participants successfully completed the program, strengthening their competencies as skilled plumbing trainers. This CBP has a completion rate of 72.73%.
The Technical Working Group (TWG) for this activity, comprising Queeny Twinkle N. Enyong (Event Focal), Mary Joy N. Garing (Secretariat), Jean B. Lumasag (Health Officer), and Jhalaloudin Buac (Support Service), efficiently managed the operational aspects of the program. Their coordinated efforts ensured the smooth execution of logistics, documentation, health and safety measures, and overall support services throughout the event.
