Rice Machinery Operation NC II

After the series of Information Caravan about RCEF in the Province of Lanao del Norte last 2019, TESDA-LNNAIS has finally implemented its very first training of Rice Machinery Operation NC II under Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF). To ensure that trainers for this qualification are equipped and competent to conduct the quality training that farmers deserve, our experts from Agriculture Department had undergone training of trainers on “Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice and Seed, and Farm Mechanization” last November 18-30, 2019 participated by our Vocational School Administrator – Vicente E. Cruz, Engr. Clifford Ryan Galenzoga, and Ms. Ivy Rose Artuyo. Through the help of Department of Agriculture – LGU Kapatagan, we had identified partners to implement this program and had also provided us the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture(RSBSA) in Lanao del Norte where we verified the trainees as beneficiaries of the program since the mandate was to prioritize everyone who is on the list. After gathering all the sixty trainees of Macabasakpa Irrigators Association, a Training Induction Program (TIP) was then conducted by Ms. Cherry Marie C. Paclipan, VIS and Mr. Clifford Ryan Galenzoga, their trainer, last January 15, 2020 which marks the first day of the training. Policies and procedures, services, roles of trainees and trainer and benefits of the scholars were discussed in the orientation. During the Open Forum, one of the trainee who was identified to be Person with Disability due to accident raised his concern whether he could ask someone for assistance during the actual operation of the machineries which the VIS approved.

The sixty (60) trainees were composed of sixteen (16) female and forty-four (44)
male. Out of these numbers, ten (10) were Senior Citizen and one (1) Person with
Disability. Throughout the training, the trainees were expected to learn to:
 participate in workplace communication
 work in a team environment
 practice career professionalism
 practice GMRC in the workplace
 apply entrepreneurship
 practice Occupational Health and Safety
 implement environmental awareness
 apply safety measures in farm operations
 use farm tools and equipment

 operate rice land preparation machinery and equipment
 operate rice crop establishment machinery and equipment
