Assessment Center Inspection for Renewal of Accreditation

The TESDA Provincial Office of Lanao del Norte Cluster conducted a face-to-face inspection at TESDA–LNNAIS Assessment Center as part of the accreditation renewal process. The activity followed the standard sequence:

Opening Meeting – The inspection team was welcomed by the Assessment Center Manager, Maynard C. Jumawan who expressed appreciation for their guidance in ensuring compliance with TESDA requirements

Facility Inspection – The team reviewed the workshop areas, materials and supplies, tools and equipment, as well as safety provisions such as signage, emergency exits, fire safety equipment, and first-aid kits.

Closing Meeting – The Provincial Office representative commended the center’s cooperation and preparedness, while the Assessment Center Manager assured that recommendations would be addressed and integrated into continuous improvement initiatives.

Facilities and equipment were confirmed to be adequate, functional, safe, and compliant with TESDA standards. Areas for improvement were identified, particularly in documentation, records management, equipment maintenance, and occupational safety.

A corrective action plan was formulated to address the findings, with responsibilities and timelines assigned. A recommendation for the renewal of the Assessment Center Accreditation was issued, subject to compliance with the required corrective actions.

Equipment and Facilities – Some tools and equipment require preventive maintenance or calibration, and minor repairs in assessment areas were recommended.

Occupational Health and Safety – The need for additional safety signage, stronger emergency preparedness measures, and improved accessibility for candidates was highlighted.

Continuous Improvement – Regular review of operations, equipment maintenance, and documentation practices was advised to ensure quality service delivery and readiness for future accreditation audits.

Strengthen Safety Measures – Enhance occupational safety protocols and emergency preparedness across assessment areas.

Improve Accessibility – Provide reasonable accommodations to ensure inclusivity for all candidates.

Promote Continuous Improvement – Conduct regular reviews of operations to sustain quality standards and maintain readiness for future accreditation and compliance audits.

The Provincial Office Inspection Team commenced with an opening meeting attended by the LNNAIS team, the Assessment Center Manager, trainers, processing officers, data encoders, and other support staff.
